Canfield Computers Launches New Website
Canfield Computers announces the introduction of their new website. The website at www.CanfieldComputers.com was built by company owner George McDonnell and is the final design among several that were reviewed and tested. According to McDonnell, "Like many websites CanfieldComputers.com is a living entity, one that continues to improve with the addition of more content and features and will keep growing over time. The goal is to make the website a resource for the community, a place for people to come when they have problems with the technologies in their lives." Canfield Computers specializes in providing technology services to the home user, home offices, and small businesses.
The website contains many state of the art features. A poll enables site visitors to vote on a current topic. The site also has a news archive of all the company's news and press releases. "Early on I developed a database-driven design for the news and the polls. It allows for easy updating and provides for deep archiving of articles while keeping page load times to a minimum" McDonnell said. Written in the HTML and ASP computer languages, the site boasts cross-browser compatibility and Cascading Style Sheets certified as valid CSS by the international standards body W3C.
Also making its debut on the website and in the current advertising campaign is the new company logo. The logo was designed by P&W Marketing of Austintown and will be featured prominently in all print advertising and will appear on other promotional products. "I feel it is important to define a business identity to the public that we can use consistently and across all different types of media. Brian Governor and his staff have done a wonderful job with the design of the logo and the business identity." The logo features the company name, a shooting star design in the shape of a stylized "C", and the tag line "Your Technology Experts". McDonnell said "The logo is vibrant and catches the eye and conveys clearly that in addition to fixing computers we offer more technology services as well."
In addition to PC repair and upgrade services, Canfield Computers provides laptop repair, WiFi wireless networking, systems maintenance, custom website development, and other technology-related services. Viruses and spyware continue to plague many computer users and McDonnell strives to educate his customers in safe computing practices to avoid reinfection once the computer is cleaned. And like doctors of a bygone era, Canfield Computers makes house calls. "I have found that most people don't want to have to disconnect their computer and bring it somewhere to get it fixed. It is much more convenient to have a trusted technician come to them." If the problem can't be solved onsite, Canfield Computers will bring the machine to their shop for repairs and can usually have the computer returned to the customer in 48 hours. The house call and pickup and delivery service are provided at no additional charge.
